Thanks to The Rasmus Germany, here is a small interview/article with Lauri from Metrolive talking about his life, what he hates doing around the house and why he hates going out on a Friday evening. Translation can be found below.

The Rasmus’ solist Lauri Ylönen have been half of his life a celebrity. Nevertheless he doesn’t find his celebrity being distressing.
-My life is quite unusual in many ways, but it became normal to me. I built a clear path, on which I can drive without muzzle. I don’t really want to go out on a Friday evening to the cinema. Cider drinker teens’ finger-pointing applause can become quite disturbing.
Ylönen and his fiancé PMMP’s Paula Vesala live in two houses: in a modest wooden house in Helsinki’s Vallila and in a three-floor 150 sqm house in Helsinki’s Jollas. The couple has a son, Julius, who has been born in 2008. During the break from the gigs Ylönen mainly focused on his family.
-I enjoy housework, except for dishwashing. Our dishwasher just broke down, Lauri Ylönen told.

Here there is a 3-minute audio interview from NRJ Radio Finland in which Lauri speaks about his well being and of quitting drinking because it was best for him. He also told that he tried quitting already once about 3 years ago but then Aki came like ‘Let’s go to the bar!’ and he started drinking again. Thanks for the sharing to Oana/PMMP&TheRasmus Forum.

-lately the only song he’s been doing properly was Johanna Kurkela’s song with Paula; half of the songs from New World were to be included on a new The Rasmus album but then they were changed; he made deadlines for himself and made one song a day; it felt good to have some free hand in work after the work with Desmond Child.

Here is an interview made with Lauri after his performance where he comments it and several other things.

Known from The Rasmus, Lauri Ylönen took off his solo career when performing for the first time to the audience his Heavy song.

-It was great to do it. I was excited before the gig more than at The Rasmus gigs, Lauri confesses.

Ylönen didn’t move that much around on the stage as we could have got used before to see.

-I decided to be more ‘calm’ this time. I was concentrating on the song, the man explains.

In the future we will see more anyways.

-At the upcoming gigs comes more versatile atmosphere. There will more jamming around, the musician promises.

-This gala in question is important, where I had the chance to present, otherwise there are not many genres presented, Ylönen remembers.

If the man’s own spouse isn’t counted then Laur’s eyes turn on the side of the Swedish ‘queen’.

-Maja Ivarsson is the queen of the evening if we do not count Paula. I looked at her ass, or better said the suit, Ylönen joked.

-In a few years also Finnish chicks should get dressed in something like that. In my opinion I can even imagine Paula wearing such thing, the man says.

Lauri has been a guest today morning at Metro FM Aamushow. The audio interview can be listened here.

He talked about (shortly): in his soloalbum there aren’t guitars and it will be more like techno music; he recently likes Daft Punk and they kind of inspired him; Pauli lives in Singapore and Eero is in Italy quite often ; he hasn’t been thinking of making it a featuring album because the whole thing was new and he also wanted to do everything and worked together on computer with Kwan’s Antti Eräkangas; about Rasmus’s success first with Falling having to tour also in Sweden; he does rather shelf cleaning than vacuuming or dish-washing; he doesn’t plan to be in any kind of movie just like his fiance, Paula Vesala did, just making music and such for movies as he did for Blackout; he did most of Heavy song himself concerning the video with Owe with a puppet called Amanda, but when it comes to Rasmus videos the record label always tells that they have to look sexy and what has to be in the video; that he is trying to modernize he opened a Facebook account (the laurimusic one).

Another surprise appearance from Lauri: he escorted his fiancé to the Finnish movie gala called Jussi Gaala which is held today in Helsinki. The couple stayed for a few pictures and for an interview in which Lauri told that he hasn’t seen only one of the movies that are going to be presented on the gala but he promised to watch them in the future and told about that he prefers recently tea with honey; and also Lauri commented on the fact why they have moved from their luxurious house from Jollas to a small 54 sqm flat house in Vallila, Helsinki.
